How Ishema SACCO was established
Ishema SACCO Nyamagabe did not begin as one new local office. It was created by consolidating the 17 Umurenge SACCO cooperatives serving every sector of Nyamagabe, together with CT Nyamagabe—18 institutions in total. The timeline below is based on RCA, Nyamagabe District and BNR records.
Rwanda began the Umurenge SACCO programme to bring formal financial services closer to citizens, especially rural communities.

RCA registerRCA led the founding General Assembly of Ishema SACCO Nyamagabe, consolidating the 17 sector SACCOs and CT Nyamagabe into one cooperative.

RCANyamagabe District officially opened Ishema SACCO Nyamagabe's operations and reported that it brought together 18 institutions.
